The world today is seeing a revival in natural indigo dyeing. However, Indigo has been produced and used in the Indian subcontinent for over two millennia. Our exceptional proficiency in achieving the blue colour was unparalleled.

Learn to make your own natural indigo vat.

Block print with mud resist paste.

Add design patterns with shibori technique.

WABISABI PROJECT
Kriti and Avinash created Wabisabi Project, a natural dye and block printing studio in Bagru (near Jaipur), to research, experiment, design and practice traditional and contemporary techniques. In 2019, they received the National Award for their work in this field. By conducting these highly recognised craft workshops they open up new avenues for its future adaptations.
